I come to Spring Mill on a daily basis as a Rehab Director for Powerback Rehabilitation. We are a rehab company who provides PT/OT/ST for the residents at Spring Mill. Spring Mill is the equivalent to a 5 star hotel with the feeling of being at home. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing and the staff are caring and compassionate. Spring Mill is a top-notch senior living community and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones.

I highly recommend Spring Mill for families looking for their loved ones. It is a beautiful community with friendly and welcoming staff. They care deeply for their residents.I work in the industry at another community nearby and have had the pleasure of working with their team and Janine Diambrosio on many occasions. She truly is a wonderful person who strives to help seniors everyday live their best lives. Your loved one is sure to thrive there.

My mother-in-law received kind and respectful care as she spent the last weeks of her life at Spring Mill. The director, Janine, was incredibly comforting during that difficult time. All the staff were caring and attentive. At one point an aide felt compelled to get a soft blanket from her car and wrap Mother up in it because she said that Dee would like the feel of a fuzzy blanket. It was very touching! The facility is sparkling clean and the aesthetics are pleasing. We enjoyed meals on the patio and were entertained one afternoon with live music. Thanks to all who made an emotionally challenging time more bearable.

Spring Mill goes above and beyond for their residents. Staff genuinely, deeply cares about their well-being, their physical health and their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This is not just a place for older adults, it's an active, vibrant community with a staff who is committed whole-heatedly to their residents.

From the moment I walked in, I knew Spring Mill was the place for my dad. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, clean and home-like. The staff is friendly, and was responsive and accommodating to any concerns my father had at move-in. He has been living there now for two months and has improved greatly both mentally and physically. The staff continues to caringly encourage him. I would definitely recommend looking into Spring Mill Senior Living community!

I visit Spring Mill on a weekly basis as a Chaplain from Holisticare Hospice. We support clients at end of life and create a comfortable and peaceful space to process feelings. Spring Mill is a beautiful location nestled in the woods and wonderful staff and residents. I’ve even eaten at their dining area with residents and enjoyed the meals and deserts. Great location, ambience, staff and residents. Beautiful private patio in the back to sit with clients and reflect on life!

My dad and I were in and out of 6 different assisted living facilities. The greeting and reception we received from Janine at Spring Mill just blew us away. She talked with us like we were long lost friends. Within minutes she had the wonderful director, Kelly talking with us. They willingly accepted Mom and her needs. The tour Janine provided was just what we needed and we never felt pressured at all just accepted and welcomed. Janine saw our needs and met them. Our decision to have Mom sent there was instant. I highly recommend anyone looking for assisted living to go to Spring Mill first. You won't be disappointed!

Janine and Kelly really care for and love their residents.... and it's palpable! As a senior living advocate and owner of We Care Senior Solutions, we have seen 100's of communities. Spring Mill is such a lovely and welcoming place for loved ones...from the beautiful grounds and buildings and especially the welcoming, warm and knowledgeable staff (especially Janine whom we were working with), it's definitely our first choice for our Dad. We were actually getting things ready for our father to move there, but unfortunately, for the time being had to pause as he's experiencing some new health issues we need to address prior to moving him. Hopefully, though, if all works in getting him through these issues, we will be excited to have him be at Spring Mill! They offer so many different activities and entertainment as well as physical and mental therapies and are very concise and hands-on with their community there. 10 stars!

I had a wonderful visit today with Janine and Savanna from the sales team at Spring Mill. The community is beautiful, welcoming, and clean. I was impressed with the size of the units as well as all the activities. I got to meet one of the resident ambassadors who is highly involved in the community activities. The residents and staff are all so engaging! Highly recommended Spring Mill to anyone looking to make a transition.

Spring Mill is a fantastic senior living facility. My mother-in-law has been living there for about two years now and we couldn’t be happier with her care. Janine, Jillian, and the rest of the staff at Spring Mill have been nothing but helpful and always greet you with a smile and a hug. Before moving her here I toured 6 or 7 other facilities looking for the best fit and I am very happy we decided on Spring Mill. No regrets. My mother-in-law enjoys going on lots of field trips and participating in an array of activities that Spring Mill provides. Whenever we call she usually says she is busy with this activity or that. A huge improvement from where she was before moving here. And anytime she doesn’t pick her phone up it’s great peace of mind knowing we can call the front desk and they can find her quickly so that we know she is ok. The communication between the staff and me and my husband had been top notch. Anytime we have a question it is answered in a timely manner. The facility itself is also nice. They have a large outdoor patio with a garden and lots of seating and umbrellas. And they regularly have live music for the residents. There is always something special going on at Spring Mill. Sometimes when we visit we like to take her out to eat but it’s also nice to know that the dining room is a good option. I’ve eaten there many times and never had a bad meal. So if you are thinking of having a loved one move in to Spring Mill, do it now, the only thing you will regret is not moving them here sooner.

Not all of us are that happy about Spring Mill. Please notice all the reviews have a 5. All mentioned Janine , I had concerns not just for residents who need help but also the staff . Under staffed in the dining room, while some staff members have unhealthy attitudes about some of the residents. I applaud those who are caring and compassionate. The previous post about a resident who was locked out tells you that the facility has to have a protocol in place and are having trouble doing room checks, and where the residents are at all times. My advice do your homework, it's not all glitz.

Warning – hard to read – worse to witness:I live in the neighboring community. I was out for my evening walk on 6/18; at approximately 8:30 pm, coming towards me was a woman pushing a walker, and she was clearly panicked. She asked, “Am I going in the right direction for Spring Mill.” I knew immediately something was wrong – very wrong. I walked her to the door of Spring Mill, and we were able to access the interior lobby between the exterior of the building and the interior of the building. I tried the door to get the resident into the building, but the door was locked. I noticed the sign that the door locks at 8:30 pm. I picked up the phone and rang the doorbell for 25 minutes. I sat her down in a chair and ran around the back of the building because I had heard the kitchen staff there earlier. I banged on the kitchen door – nothing. I ran back around the building and frightened some poor first-floor resident by tapping on her window – she opened her window. I explained that I had been trying to get this poor resident into the building and to her “room” for the past 25 minutes. Finally, after 30 minutes, an employee walked by, and I pounded on the door. She opened the door, and the resident was able to make her way to her room. WHAT A MESS!The doors cannot get locked from the inside because it’s a fire hazard – understandable – but why is there an empty desk and no guard to prevent such an occurrence from happening? I should have called the police. This could have turned out badly. I left with 4 business cards and was going to write an email to every single one of them – the reason I’m posting this publicly is because this issue could easily be swept under the run internally and it’s too big an indicator that there is a bigger problem. These are human beings that are being left in the care of others. It’s not the hourly staff’s fault. This is clearly a management problem. If this were my mother, I’d be furious. Especially since these kinds of “establishments” are not inexpensive. To upper management – don’t post a placating response and slap a Band-Aid on this – other people’s lives are being entrusted in your care.

The whole Spring Mill crew was such a delight to meet. I get the opportunity to meet with and see senior living facilities often--I can honestly say Spring Mill seems to have something special going on. Their eagerness to think outside of the box to provide healthcare related choices to residents speaks volumes. As does the willingness of the staff to become Eden Alternative certified. What an incredible difference this can make in the lives of the elderly.

Spring mill is a wonderful Senior, living facility. It offers, personal care, respite care, memory care, and Assisted-living.I visit a resident there who just turned 99 and started at the facility in respite care. I have visited her many times. each time I have come the front desk staff welcomes me with a smile and assist me with all of my needs.. Spring Mill is beautifully decorated and has many common areas for you to visit your friend or relative in if you don’t want to stay in their room.. They also have many activities for the residence to participate in. Many times that I’ve gone to visit my friend. I’ve had to go find her because Participates in all of the activities. The dining room is a focal point of the facility and has wonderful food. When you are visiting, you can have a meal, and it only cost 5 dollars. If you are looking for a facility for your family member II would highly recommend Spring Mill.

Abuse and neglect happen so much in that place.. residents get hurt and the families get lied to. That place is full of DRAMA. DON Ty Scott disrespects, and belittles not only her staff but the residents as well. She walks the halls with no smile and will go above and beyond to get rid of anyone who steps on her toes. (Reason they went over a year without a nursing director and can barley keep a memory care director) Only time she is nice to anyone outside of the business office is when the state or corporate is coming… like right now

When a good friend of mine was diagnosed with dementia and could no longer care for herself, I started looking for memory care facilities. I researched and visited three facilities in the area and Spring Mill stood out head and shoulders above the others.Janine was the first person I met at Spring Mill and she is amazing! She answered every question I had, walked me through the memory care unit, introducing me to management, staff, and residents. She knows every resident personally and showed me all the facilities, activities, dining options, and rooms.Janine is so knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating! Her honesty, experience, and enthusiasm first sold me on Spring Mill. She took time on multiple visits and phone calls to guide me through the application and acceptance process and even personally helped me with the move-in! Janine put me at ease during a daunting and emotional process.Fast forward six months after my friend moved in and I am still so happy I chose Spring Mill! I am a frequent visitor and my friend is thriving at Spring Mill with their extraordinary care! They know her likes and dislikes and how to make her smile as well as what triggers her. Every staff member is very kind and efficient; they go above and beyond their extensive physical care of the residents, even stopping in my friend’s room to tell her a quick story about her favorite sports team, comb her hair before dinner, or give her a hug. They truly go above and beyond to maximize each resident’s quality of life.Spring Mill was the best possible life decision I could have made for my friend!

Everyone at Spring Mill is always happy and inviting to its residents and their families. Janine D’Ambrosio helped us get through a difficult period with our mother. Amazing how much she knows about just about every resident and interacts with all of them. Really makes the facility feel like home!

Janine was extremely helpful to us at a difficult time, and made the decision making process for us to choose Spring Mill as THE BEST place for my aunt an easy one. Janine has remained in contact with me throughout my aunt's tenure at Spring Mill thus far, and has helped my family to get through some difficult times as we plan to also transition my parents to Spring Mill as well. Janine is very caring and compassionate!! Thank you Janine!!!

I highly recommend Springmill in Phoenixville. My Mother-In-Law was recently placed here. This beautiful community provides specialized enriching activities, high level medical care, tenured staff and much more! I toured the lovely facility with Janine Dambrosio. She explained all of their wonderful programs and answered any questions I had. They even take such an interest in kids visiting and getting them involved! We even met a few dogs with wagging tails that greet you! If you have a loved one that needs a new home for memory care, look no further than Springmill in PHOENIXVILLE!

Feast of the Seven Fishes! Grazie! Great Job to Spring Mill and the staff. I don’t do many reviews, but I wanted to thank Monica and team for coordinating this dinner (and provide a little background on our experience at Spring Mill). The 7 fishes feast is a Christmas family tradition that my dad hasn’t been able to attend for the past few years. Thanks to the team at Spring Mill, 5 of us were able to join my parents for this incredible 3 course formal dinner. After my dad had some medical issues, we looked at many senior living/care facilities and none of them seemed right for him. We were seriously considering in home care, but the options were lacking in comparison to the senior communities (24/7 staff, meals, medical, etc.). I then decided to stop by Spring Mill while running errands around the Kimberton area. I was politely greeted by the receptionist and then given a brief overview and tour of the facility – the staff was very accommodating as I wasn’t expecting a tour on the weekend. I was then contacted by Janine, and we set a follow up visit where I could bring my mother. Janine took us through the facility and introduced us to the staff and tenants and showed us rooms and options. During our visit my mother met old friends and neighbors currently living at Spring Mill that she hadn’t seen in years. We could tell right away that this was the right place for my dad with a real local family atmosphere. We confirmed a room that day and moved my dad in soon after. My mother moved in a few months later and they both have been living happily at Spring Mill for about 1.5 years. I visit a couple times a week and can attest that the staff and management are always very caring and compassionate with my parents.

Janine and all the staff at Spring Mill are very helpful, kind and responsive. I believe the staff is what makes a senior living home a home and Spring Mill shows all of these qualities. I highly recommend Spring Mill as a number one choice! They are even building a chapel because that was one thing that was very important to my mom.

Janine is super helpful and extremely responsive. We narrowed our choice down to two facilities for our 89 yo mom. While Mom chose another facility, I was very impressed as the residents seemed happy and the staff was super friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.

I have visited Spring Mill for professional & networking events as well as to play music for the residents. Each time I come, the atmosphere is more like coming to someone’s home than a community. From the concierge to the maintenance staff to the kitchen staff and the directors, everyone goes out of their way to make the residents comfortable & happy, which feels so good to someone visiting. They always put together such creative events for the residents. On my multiple visits the last few years, there has always been an atmosphere of relaxed good times & a genuinely warm environment that comes from people who truly care about what they do for seniors & their families.

Visited my Uncle at Spring Mill over Thanksgiving. What a beautiful facility to walk into. Bright, alive and festive are just a few words that come to mind. The lobby area was full of people sitting in front of the fire place. Everyone was happy and welcoming. My uncle who is 90 considers Spring Mill home, he has so many friends and a beautiful space he calls home. Thank you Spring Mill for doing things right for the senior population.Sincerely,Craig

I would like to take this opportunity to provide some feedback on Spring Mill. The organization is outstanding in every aspect. It is very clear that leadership sets the tone, and that the compassion and care extended by all staff is consistently excellent. As a visitor, I am impressed by the consistency of cleanliness and the brightness of the community. I always feel welcome. Likewise, it is very easy to be a natural part of the team, showing care and kindness to the residents, because of the wonderful tone and culture that the organization has established, involving all, treating all with respect, kindness and dignity.I cannot think of a single area of the Spring Mill operation that is deficient. In fact, it’s unusual for any organization - public, private, nonprofit, educational, or faith-based - to be so strong across-the-board. Clearly, this is a reflection of good direction-setting by leadership, training of staff, quality assurance, feedback from residents, and their families and friends. It has been remarkable to watch how well and how quickly Spring Mill intakes new residents and makes them feel a part of the community.Further, and perhaps more remarkable is to see the way that residents are very respectful and caring for one another. Obviously, that kind of life giving and affirming environment is a function of the overall caregiving priority emphasized by Spring Mill leadership and lovingly carried out by staff.I could say much more, but will close with this testimony: as a society, it is extremely important that we value all people. Our society can sometimes undervalue those who are in the later years of their lives. Ironically, in other societies, those are the very people who get the most honor care and respect.Spring Mill provides the standard of excellent care, compassion and kindness for all residents, and extends the very same humanity to visitors. You are indeed a model organization, that many others could learn a great deal from in terms of the excellent job you do.Thank you for this opportunity to comment.

My grandmother was in need of immediate full time professional assistance as the help we were receiving while she was home just wasn’t enough. Janine at Spring Mill got us in almost immediately and worked with us on finding the perfect fit for my grandmother! It’s such a relief knowing she’s now being cared for around the clock with such helpful and caring individuals!

I met with Janine Dambrosio and was so impressed with her and Spring Mill. If my mom had stayed in Pennsylvania, this is definitely where I would have wanted her to live. The apartments and facility are beautiful and and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Janine, whom I worked with, was extremely helpful, informative, friendly, knowledgeable and personable. If my mother comes back to Pennsylvania, I wouldn’t want her anywhere else.

I have felt the need to write a review before but enough is enough. This place has seriously gone down hill. My mother lives here and just alerted me that two employees got into a full brawl in the main lobby. They are significantly understaffed and the communication between family and staff is nonexistent. I recently gave them a referral for their memory care program that used to be great but from my understanding they let the memory care director go and the program has been suffering since. Looking at these reviews I see familiar faces of current employees that I’m sure have been coerced into leaving a good review. Spring Mill is not what it used to be and we will be moving my Mother as soon as another community becomes available.

This is my new “Happy Place” too! 🧡 When people say to me that having my mother in a Memory Community must have been a hard decision… I immediately and happily tell them having my Mom at Spring Mill was one of the EASIEST decisions of my life! I appreciate Spring Mill - what a special place and truly a miracle! I’m very grateful for Spring Mill. My Mom is happy, safe, engaged, sociable, and healthy here! She is so happy! And I am happy, too! What a wonderful and kind community and warm place to call home. It’s so spacious, brightly lit, perfectly designed for your loved one with dementia. Fun, upbeat music playing (usually songs from the 1950s, which my Mom loves!). Nooks of creativity like hat decorating, baby dolls, drawing, flower arranging, with ample space to do a lot of walking, including outside….. all while being secure and safe. And the people/staff here are so kind, knowledgeable, and amazing - and they are family, too. I feel as cared for as my Mom. As a caregiver, that means the world. I love coming here to spend time with my Mom. Just a few days ago, they had enrichment activities like learning about Morocco (and then having a Moroccan dinner), watching a Dean Martin concert video, and learning about different animals like penguins and panda bears. The staff are always accessible and just a text away if there is anything you need. Everyone is so kind and friendly. If I could give Spring Mill a review of 10 stars, I would. If you have a loved one with dementia, please give them the gift of calling Spring Mill home. 🧡
